Dominic Berry

Owner of Dominic’s Ultimate Pilates Studio, Dominic Berry has been in the fitness industry for more than 20 years now. He began his fitness career under the watchful eyes of his mentors Hilary Fields and the late Ernest Perez. Dominic started his career as a group exercise and aerobics instructor at President and First Lady Health Club, which thereafter became Bally’s. At Bally’s, Dominic’s talent, charisma, and drive were rewarded with a promotion to area group exercise supervisor. 

Dominic has been a Balance Body Pilates Certified Trainer since 1999, having taken over the Pilates program for his former employer in 2003. Soon after, he began to manage both the Pilates and the group exercise programs for the company.

Today, Dominic utilizes the skills that he acquired from running two fitness departments for a major corporation to run his own studio, Dominic’s Ultimate Pilates Studio. Dominic trains utilizing traditional Pilates methods while incorporating his own style and techniques.

Gina Chavira

Gina Chavira has her Bachelor’s Degree in Dance and Communications and studied Nutrition from ITESO Mexico. She has 30 years of experience in Dance, and is a certified Ballet Teacher from the Royal Academy of Dance. Gina is also certified in Pilates Mat, Reformer and Cadillac. She is passionate in sharing her gift of Ballet and incorporating this into her Pilates instruction. 
Mia Barney

Mia Barney is a Certified Personal trainer and Group fitness instructor with more than two decades of experience. She is an enthusiastic and energetic instructor who brings a unique combination of professional training, experience with a wide variety of learners, and passion for promoting fitness to everything she does. She brings her Joy of Movement to all she does, encouraging participants to keep on moving – because, “if you don't move it, you lose it!”

Mia holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi. After finishing her degree in 1991, she went on to complete the Personal Trainer Certification program at Baylor Sports Medicine Institute, as well as the Group Fitness Instructor Certification program at AFAA Primary Fitness Group. She had Pilates to her repertoire in 2002, after completing Balance Body Pilates Training Her skills in both marketing and personal fitness training have served her well in positions ranging from Choreographer and Instructor at Mire Fitness and Dance, Memorial Hermann, Jewish Community Center, The Briar Club, 24 Hour Fitness and Bally Total Fitness. She has combined her expertise in marketing and in personal fitness to craft customized fitness programs, promote training programs and services, and teach energetic and inspiring classes in both group and individual settings. Mia entices learners to keep on moving with classes that are exciting, energetic, and motivating. She seeks to awaken the Joy of Movement in each of her students, inspiring them to start moving and never stop.

Mia's passion for education extends beyond the fitness studio as well. She promotes total wellness by educating clients on nutrition and other aspects of fitness and health. Mia created Mire Fitness and Dance to extend her knowledge to individuals, groups and companies. Mia worked in the larger community to distribute information about health, fitness, and nutrition, taking her passion for total health beyond the walls of a gym or fitness center.
